September 26th’s Full Moon in Aries is an opportunity to pause and reflect on how far you have come this year, and how you want to spend the year’s final quarter. Following shortly after the autumn equinox on Wednesday, this full moon also links to this year’s New Moon in Aries on April 17th, as well as March’s spring equinox. Can you remember the goals and intentions you had set in spring, or even any New Year’s resolutions or winter solstice intentions? Are you still working towards them, or do you need to course-correct, or have you realised that they aren’t actually in alignment with what you want to achieve? Perhaps you have noticed that you have subconsciously worked towards or manifested things that you desired but did not turn into concrete goals or dreams–now is a good time to look back through your journal to see if there are any themes from earlier this year that are bearing fruit now. Whether you are working towards the end of the calendar year/winter solstice or the spring equinox/astrological new year 2027, we are now entering a phase of reflection and completion. How do YOU want to spend your time so that it best aligns with your values, goals and dreams? As the climate in the Northern Hemisphere gets cooler and darker and the world becomes more introverted, could you dedicate more time to the things that matter most to you outside of the responsibilities of daily life?
Aries is fiery, fearless, and dynamic, and wants you to step out of your comfort zone. Are there any ways your goals have become stagnant, and you need a final push to get them over the finish line? These could become apparent during the Aries Full Moon, and you may find that you have the courage you need to face the things you have been avoiding head-on. Although Aries is one of the most individualistic signs of the zodiac, the Sun is currently in relationship-focused Libra, meaning you may feel inclined to confront any fears or issues you have previously tried to sweep under the rug to do with partners, family, friends or colleagues. Furthermore, the planet that rules relationships, Venus, is currently in Scorpio, the sign that likes to delve deep into the shadowy unconscious and hidden realms, and will soon station retrograde on October 3rd. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that dark secrets will be uncovered, but rather that you will be reflecting deeply on your relationships in a way that you may normally try to avoid due to discomfort or the busyness of life. You may be asking yourself why you are in certain relationships, whether they are working, what patterns and power dynamics are playing out and whether these need to be healed. You may have noticed since September 10th when Venus first entered Scorpio that certain themes have been pulled into focus to do with your relationships, issues may have been arising, or perhaps people from your past have reappeared. Is there any work you can do now during the energetic peak of the Full Moon in Aries that will help you be prepared for next week’s retrograde? Journaling and freewriting (writing without stopping or thinking too much about what you are putting down) can help sweep through the mental cobwebs and uncover truths you hadn’t previously realised. Full moons are already intense, and this one is tied in with some very potent astrology, so make sure to take time out to take care of yourself. Yoga, meditation, spending time in nature or engaging in other mindful activities you enjoy can all help to navigate these powerful energies. Remember that by facing our fears and hidden depths with compassion for the self and others we will be sure to turn up gold.
