The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on 28 August is the final in a series of eclipses in Pisces that began in September 2024, and rounds off the time that the North Node spent in Pisces from January 2025-July 2026. Eclipses always occur at astrological positions known as the lunar nodes, with the North Node representing an increasing desire or hunger for something and the South Node representing releasing and letting go. During Pisces’ time in the North Node and its corresponding series of eclipses we may have experienced a strong need to bring more Piscean qualities into our life, such as more imagination and creative activities, as well as the desire to live more intuitively and spiritually and have faith and trust in the flow of life. The role boundaries play in your life may also have been brought to the fore: have you noticed that you have found yourself setting firmer boundaries with others, or with yourself (in terms of sticking to habits and commitments etc)? Or have you loosened your boundaries and let go of defensive walls that were preventing you from experiencing greater intimacy with others? Reflect on how this has played out over the last 24-18 months as this cycle wraps up.
Eclipses are times when growth and transformation can feel accelerated, events feel fated and we can receive an influx of messages, synchronicities and signs in waking life and dreams, but due to this eclipse’s position in Pisces, any growth or change may not feel loud and sudden but rather a subtle dissolving of what previously was. It is enough to simply observe an eclipse and how it shows up for you rather than to try and “work with” it, so lean into the Piscean energy of going with the flow and try not to force your growth or seek out messages and signs. In a little while you may reflect back and realise that there was a profound shift that began or concluded around this time, but that it was so subtle that you did not notice it. Nonetheless, eclipses can still be emotionally-charged times, particularly if you have significant placements in Pisces, so it is a good idea to rest and nurture your system. Meditate, practise yoga or other mindful activities, write in your journal or engage in other self-care activities that work for you. Embody Pisces and surrender to the moment, knowing that there is nothing you need to do, and that where you are is where you are supposed to be. Trust that great changes are unfolding for the highest good of all, including yourself.
