Meet our specialist Yoga class teachers

Dawn
Adult & Children’s
Yoga Teacher

Dawn found yoga in 2013 shortly after her son had been born.  She was working long hours as a Primary school teacher at the time and with two young children at home, life was hectic to say the least.  Yoga made her feel as if she had come home to herself.

Dawn soon qualified as a Children’s Yoga Teacher and began sharing the magic of yoga with the children she taught.  She has been successfully teaching yoga and mindfulness in schools across the primary age range for over 10 years.

Dawn took the step to complete her 300hr Adult Yoga Teacher Training and this is when her vision for an Earth Tree Yoga was born.  Dawn believes that yoga is for every body and hopes that Earth Tree Yoga can be of real service to her local community in Wetherby. Yoga has brought so much gratitude, peace and joy to Dawn’s life. She hopes to see you on the mat and share yoga with you too!

Nerine
Yoga Teacher

Nerine is a senior teacher.  With a background in dance, she sought out yoga more than 20 years ago as a way to alleviate stress.  She acquired her first teaching certification in 2015 and has since accrued nearly 1000 hours of training all of which inform her unique synthesis of Gentle Hatha, Restorative, Therapeutic, and Menopause Yoga.

Through somatic awareness, Nerine empowers students to discover variations that make yoga accessible for their individual physical, mental, and emotional needs including the inflexible, curvy, and those with chronic conditions.  Her teaching style is inspired by Ayurveda working in harmony with the seasons and offers a secular approach to facilitate an inclusive environment.

I've been attending Dawn's pregnancy yoga class since I was about 14 weeks pregnant (currently 34). Dawn is lovely, she sent me a friendly message the day of my class to check how I was which helped me be less anxious about attending the class after doing very little during my first trimester. The classes are relaxing and calming, the perfect way to deal with an aching pregnant body. At one point I was concerned that I was getting pelvic girdle pain, but this didn't get any worse and I'm convinced these classes are why. Dawn will always check in with us and will adapt the class to suit our particular ailments. It is a lovely atmosphere and has really helped during what can be quite a difficult time. I am looking forward to attending the baby classes once my little one has arrived.
Wonderful studio... I attended the pregnancy yoga which I thoroughly enjoyed !
I attended the pregnancy yoga classes with Dawn throughout my pregnancy and I would highly recommend. They were extremely relaxing and helped with a lot of pain that I had. Dawn is extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Will definitely be back for the Mum and Baby yoga sessions!
I am new to Earth Tree Yoga. It is fantastic. Every move is geared to you personally. You go at your own pace.
I recommend it to anyone wanting the Yoga experience
Earth Tree Yoga is a beautiful, calming studio space and Dawn’s classes are great; non judgemental, relaxing and expertly led. Highly recommend for anyone wondering whether they should give it a go.
Have a done a few sessions of Vinyasa yoga with Carly. She is excellent and very much enjoyed her classes.
Pregnancy yoga was brilliant, the session was very relaxing and a chance to bond with baby.
Highly recommend pregnancy yoga at earth tree. It was a lovely relaxing class that was so well catered for pregnant women, with lots of adjustments that felt very safe and comfortable. It was also a great social opportunity and I met a couple of lovely friends to share my maternity leave with
Amazing pregnancy yoga class. Loved knowing I could still practice yoga whilst pregnant safely. Also had SPD during my pregnancy and Pratibha knew exactly how to help me so I could carry on.
I've been attending the pregnancy yoga sessions Earth Tree Yoga since 16 weeks pregnant - I'm now 32 weeks pregnant and still going! I'd highly recommend as a place to unwind and stretch out. Prathiba is able to tailor exercises to any issues you might have and the atmosphere is very welcoming.
Very lucky to find this place as I absolutely love it! They are so knowledgeable and tailor different movements to suit your needs. It’s a small, friendly class and is so enjoyable!
Really enjoying my yoga sessions at Earth Tree Yoga! The sessions are great as is the studio!
Dawn is warm, friendly yoga teacher puts you at ease straight away! I’ve been attending her classes for over a year now & I highly recommend them. Dawn can accommodate your needs whether you are a total beginner or wanting something a bit more challenging. My weekly yoga classes are a treat to myself, I leave feeling totally relaxed, at peace & stretched!!! 110% worth it!!!
Thank you 😊🧘‍♀️
I would recommend the Slow Flow Yoga practice at Earth Tree Yoga. A warm, welcoming and calming space to practice and such a relaxing experience. The studio is equipped with everything you would need for yoga and Dawn is approachable and a great teacher!
Earth Tree Yoga is already a place of sanctuary for me and today my 3 year old enjoyed a wonderfully thought out morning of Halloween themed activities. Really hope we get to see more classes for parents and their little ones in the future ♥️ Keep up the great work!
Fabulous Halloween children’s class, so much thought, time and effort went into providing a fun, spooky playful class!
Earth Tree Yoga delivered a wonderful whole-school yoga session for Bardsey Primary Academy pupils and parents for our Togetherness Day. The sessions was brilliantly led by Dawn, with over 200 participants enjoying a massed yoga practice together - thank you so much!
I joined my first Earth Tree class a year ago with one goal in mind. To find a space in my week where I could be quiet and present with myself. I had tried yoga twice before and always felt a little uncomfortable or ‘on the outside’ so had never returned. Earth Tree yoga appeared at just the right time for me so I gave it a go. I have always enjoyed exercising but never been flexible. I also had a recurring back problem since having my family so I arrived feeling very uncertain that yoga would work for me. How wrong I was! From my very first class I felt so welcome and relaxed. I quickly realised that Dawn’s classes are about celebrating our bodies exactly as they are and getting to know yours better. “Embrace all the wobbles” and “Where you are is exactly where you’re meant to be” are said in every class. You can wobble, fall over (we all do) or just do whatever feels good for you without judgment. It’s just a great bunch of people getting together to move our bodies each week. I am delighted to say that my back has never been better. I have struggled to bend forwards to tie my laces in the past and here I am doing forward folds and moving in ways I actually thought I never would again after two difficult births. The physical benefits of yoga have been huge for me and I feel stronger and more flexible than I ever have. However even more importantly, yoga has had such an impact on my mental well-being. I always describe Dawn’s classes as therapy for the mind and body. Positive affirmations, beautiful poems and and ethos of celebrating yourself for who you are make for a wonderful hour that we all look forward to in our week. For anybody who fancies giving yoga a try but might feel nervous or worried that you won’t be able to do all the moves..come along and try it. As Dawn always tells us, “There’s no competition. It’s just yoga!”
I thoroughly recommend attending Dawn and Janine’s Yoga and Mindful Watercolours Retreats. It is such a lovely way to spend an afternoon - the perfect balance of yoga, learning watercolour techniques , eating cake and chatting! I was made to feel so comfortable, and left carrying my paintings and feeling relaxed and happy 😃 .
So wonderful. Yoga is relatively new to me, but I've thoroughly enjoyed my first few sessions with Dawn. The studio environment is very relaxing and comfortable too! Il be continuing for sure
I am 3 sessions into my Yoga journey, having been enticed by Yoga for Sport to support my bootcamp recovery and improve flexibility. Amy is a great teacher and a warm and engaging communicator. Highly recommended!
I have tried Yoga many times in different locations and unfortunately have never gotten into it or felt the desire to continue but after attending a class at Earth after Yoga, I will definitely be signing up for a block booking with the intention of continuing. A beautiful room with a lovely atmosphere and boy did I feel comfortably relaxed and recharged afterwards. Dawn was very welcoming and understanding of the different abilities in the class and was wonderfully encouraging. I am already looking forward to next weeks’ class! Thank you for bringing this wonderful addition to Wetherby!
I joined a Restorative Yoga class at Earth Tree Yoga, led by Dawn. The studio is a calm and non-intimidating space and Dawn’s guidance was easy to follow, which meant I could really relax into the flow.
I wasn’t prepared for how clear my mind was afterwards, and how centred I felt - the perfect reset during a busy week.
Dawn’s passion for Yoga shines through, she’s engaging, knowledgeable and encouraging. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to do Yoga in the Wetherby area.
I attended Dawns Yoga class after just having a baby and via c section Dawns class was perfect way to ease myself back into yoga and provide that much needed calm, relaxation and community as a new mum. I’ve never felt so welcomed Dawn really does love her practice and everyone that attends her classes and you can feel that. I’m so glad I found her and can’t wait to see what the future holds for more classes and practices at Earth Tree Yoga 🧘‍♀️ 💕
So pleased Earth Tree Yoga has opened this beautiful dedicated space in Wetherby. I found the vinyasa flow class to be the perfect mix of strength work and relaxation. The classes are so welcoming and friendly. It feels a real treat to spend time practicing yoga here. I will look forward to lots more classes (and the delightful tea and chocolate afterwards).
Beautiful teaching and space. Dawn is a wonderful teacher who I found approachable and kind. Wish I lived more local and could visit more often!
Dawn is the most wonderful yoga teacher. I haven’t practised for a number of years but she makes the sessions really easy to follow with some gorgeous relaxation elements thrown in too. It’s helped me to wind down when things are busy and I now really look forward to Monday evenings. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of joining one of the Earth Tree Yoga groups, I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed!
